Following the description at WordPress Documentation, I’ve updated my role from Contributor to Editor. Now I should be able to “publish” instead of having to log in as the administrator. For the perma-links, I’m wondering if the system needs a “restart” after changing that setting. And no, I have no idea how to restart this instance of hosted-WordPress.
